My life is too short for Game Overs, just give me a >AABB 100 balloon cheat and let me play the game. I survived Sonic only b/c of desert level 100 lives, which as hard and poorly designed as some of those levels were they were still manageable, but there is no stress and pressure when you die a few dozen times and see you still have 50 or 60 lives left, you just keep playing. What I hate is a game like DKCTF where you have both balloons and checkpoints- so they are trying to help you out - but once you die die - ie run out of balloons, you still get the Game Over screen and have to restart the level, nullifying the inclusion of the checkpoint, and starting back over w/ just 4 balloons. I think I've gone through my entire life playing maybe 2 games on hard - Swords & Soldiers and Mushroom Wars where hard was relatively painless. There are different ways to get past hard areas in games yet still include them - Sonic Lost Worlds had that feather shoe which just skipped parts after you died a few times, some games you just restart from wherever you died infinite lives style, checkpoints w/ infinte lives works for me - one of my favorite editions to LBP - or have an easy, normal, hard option when you start.
